Turkish currency's new icon announced

ANKARA (A.A) - March 1, 2012 - The new icon of the Turkish currency was announced at a press conference on Thursday with participation of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. The Central Bank of Turkey had organized a "Turkish Lira Icon Contest" to consolidate Turkish Lira's reputation. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan and Central Bank Governor Erdem Basci also attended the press conference.
