Commerce Minister urges central provinces to promote border trade

(KPL) Minister of Commerce and Industry Nam Viyaket has urged the central provinces of Savannakhet, Khammouane and Borikhamsay to pay more attention to the promotion of border trade, market-oriented production and wood processing.
The minister talked to leading officials of the commerce-industry and agriculture-forestry authorities of the three provinces in Savannakhet last week.
He urged the relevant officials to provide technical assistance to local producers in their market-oriented production, suggest them what kinds of products producers should make and help them get access to market.
He said that the local authorities at provincial, district and village levels should promote cooperation with the border provinces in the neighbouring countries to promote goods exchange and investment.
The minister also highlighted the regulations on wood processing and urged the officials to enforce them legally.
