SNC to probably open military representation in Turkey

PARIS (A.A) - March 1, 2012 - The Syrian national council will probably inaugurate a military representation in Turkey. The head of Syrian National Council, Burhan Ghalioun, hold a press conference in Paris, France, on Thursday and said that the council would launch efforts to provide the opponents in the country with weapons. Ghalioun said they would most probably open a military representation in Turkey to provide the opponents with arms. Some countries were willing to extend arms assistance to the council, Ghalioun said. Ghalioun said the representation would deal with distribution of those weapons. First, the council would try to list its needs and then it would try to find out how it could provide them, Ghalioun said. Ghalioun also said their aim was to protect civilians, not to open war.
