Danish trade minister praises Turkey's growth rate

ISTANBUL (A.A) – Denmark's Trade & Investment Minister Pia Olsen Dyhr praised the growth rate Turkey recorded in recent years. Speaking at Turkish-Danish Business Council meeting in Istanbul on Thursday, Dyhr said that the cooperation between Turkey and Denmark increased not only in commercial relations but also in the friendly relations. More than 300,000 Danish people visited Turkey for vacation last year, said DYHR, adding that this figure would increase this year. Dyhr said that some European countries could only dream about the growth rate Turkey recorded in the past few years. Dyhr expressed belief that the commerce between Turkey and Denmark would be stronger, and said that Danish companies should focus on clean technology which was a priority both for Turkey and Denmark. Noting that all energy resources of Denmark should be provided by renewable energy by 2050, Dyhr said that they should get all electricity and heating resources from renewable energy by 2035.
