Turkey center of attention at New York Times Travel Show

NEW YORK (A.A) - March 4, 2012 - Turkey continues to be the center of attention at the New York Times Travel Show in 2012 as the main sponsor of the event. Speaking to the AA, Turkey's Culture and Promotion Attache in New York Ebru Ejder said that the New York Times Travel Show was New York's only tourism show and, as such, carried high importance for Turkey. Turkey is the center of attention at the New York Times Travel Show. The excellent political relations between Turkey and the United States has a role in this high interest in Turkey, Ejder said. The number of American tourists visiting Turkey in 2011 went up 17 percent when compared to the previous year, Ejder underlined. We expect growing figures in 2012 regarding American tourists visiting Turkey, Ejder stressed. Turkish travel agencies participating in the New York Times Travel Show are pleased by the interest Turkey is receiving.
