Thai PM follows up government strategic policies

BANGKOK, March 5 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra chaired a meeting of Cabinet members and authorities of concerned agencies at Bangkok's Government House Monday to follow up government strategic policies and to brief up additional strategic issues to relevant ministries and agencies. Yingluck told the Cabinet members and concerned authorities to quickly implement the government's key strategic policies in an integral aspect and in the same direction to ensure their effectiveness and practicality for the sake of public and national interests. The prime minister also briefed up her administration's additional strategic issues to the Cabinet members and concerned authorities, covering attempts to restore peace and order in Thailand's insurgency-plagued southernmost region, further upgrades of nationwide transport systems, developments of national healthcare services for all, campaigns on promoting the "Thai kitchen to the world" and Thai halal food, as well as free Wi-Fi services to the public, new structures on domestic fuel prices and farmers' credit cards, further developments of alternative energy and improvements of small and medium-sizes enterprises’ products and services. Premier Yingluck also told her Cabinet members to review their performances in preparations for the government's one-year performance report to the Parliament, as her Pheu Thai Party-led coalition government has now been in office for seven months.
