Thai PM meets US-ASEAN Business Council

BANGKOK, March 12 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra met members of the US-ASEAN Business Council in Bangkok Monday to discuss trade, investment and flood prevention. Yingluck had the meeting with over 90 US business persons, representing about 50 companies including Coca Cola, Microsoft, Ford, Chevron, Dell and Hewlett-Packard, at 10am with issues raised for discussions including flood prevention to restore their confidence in Thailand. The prime minister told journalists after the meeting that the US business operators appeared to be now confident and would expand their investment in Thailand, and that she expects them to discuss details of their expanding businesses and investment plans with relevant government officials later.
