UN-Arab League special envoy arrives in Turkey

ANKARA (A.A) - UN-Arab League special envoy to Syria Kofi Annan arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday. Speaking to reporters at Esenboga Airport in Ankara, Annan said that violence against civilians in Syria must be ended, stating that civilian killings there could not be accepted. Annan said that the world should give a clear message on the matter. Annan said that he would have a meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding developments in Syria. Replying to a question, Annan said that they were working on humanitarian aid access to Syria. UN-Arab League special envoy to Syria said that they would launch a political process and reach a solution.
