Bibi of Iranian TV series “Majid” dies in Noruz

TEHRAN,April 2(MNA) -- The family of cinema lost one of its dear ones during Noruz. Parvindokht Yazdanian, famous for her role as grandma Bibi in TV series “The Stories of Majid” died on March 24. Yazdanian died of natural causes at the age of 89 in Isfahan. She became famous in Iran for “The Stories of Majid” directed by her son Kiumars Purahmad. The series is based on a book of the same name written by prominent children’s book author Hushang Moradi Kermani, and tells the story of an ambitious teenage boy who lives with his grandma Bibi in Isfahan. Bibi had played in several movies, some of which were directed by her son including “Yalda Night” and “Morning of the Next Day”.
