Veteran Iranian actress Fatemeh Taheri dies at 72

TEHRAN,April 7(MNA) -- Veteran Iranian actress Fatemeh Taheri died of heart attack on Thursday morning. She was 72. Taheri was born in Tehran and began to act on stage after she finished high school. “The Curios” by Ebrahim Vahidzadeh was the first movie she played in 1987. She starred in many TV series and films including “”Auntie Sara”, “Tuba”, “A Girl Named Tondar”, “Mommy’s Guest”, “Narges”, “Khazra High School” and “A Glorious Day”. Taheri last appeared in the TV series “The Wealthy and the Poor” by Masud Dehnamaki aired in Noruz last year. Her funeral procession takes place today at the Iranian Artists Forum. She will be buried at the Artists Section of Tehran’s Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery in southern Tehran.
