Iranian movies line up for Russian detective festival

TEHRAN,April 8(MNA) -- Fifteen Iranian films will go on screen during Russia’s International Detective Films and Television programs Festival which will be held from April 24 to 29. “These Seven Guys” by Siamak Sarafat, “Punishment” by Saied Sadi, “The Killer” by Mohammad Pusti, “Snow Fever” and “Plaque of an Angel” by Amirhossein Sharifi and “Control Tower” by Kazem Masumi are among the movies which will compete in the Feature film on detective and law-enforcement themes section of the gala. Some Iranian films produced by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) will also go on screen at the TV Series section of the festival. The principal activity of the Detective Production Company, which holds the festival, is the organization of the annual International Film and TV Festival of detective films, and television programs on law-enforcement with themes of “Law and Society”. The slogan of the festival “Fighting against crime and terrorism is an international responsibility!” could inspire a variety of related activities echoing the festival’s ideas in various countries. The festival’s participants and prize winners could meet with their colleagues from all over the world to share their experiences and work towards the development of joint projects involving films and TV shows.
