Mortazavi summoned to hear charges against him

TEHRAN,April 10(MNA) – Former Tehran prosecutor general Saeed Mortazavi, whose recent appointment as the director of the Social Security Organization drew strong criticism from a number of MPs, has been summoned to hear the charges filed against him. Some lawmakers hold Mortazavi partly responsible for the Kahrizak incident, in which 3 inmates died, and have signed a motion to impeach Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami over the controversial appointment.
