Iranian oil ministry to sue German company for breach of contract

TEHRAN, April 10(MNA)--Iranian oil ministry will sue the German Company MAN for not fulfilling its commitment at Shazand refinery. MAN had to deliver high tech equipments such as turbo compressors and train Iranian technicians adequately but none was done, Alireza Zeyghami, the MD of the National Iranian Oil Company for Refining and Distribution stated. Zeyghami stated the contract with MAN was signed before the sanctions were imposed on Iran adding the oil minister has consequently ordered to stop license contracts with European firms at refinery projects. The news agency says that MAN was not the only European company which has not fulfilled its duties. At the third phase of the development of the Abadan refinery, a Dutch, a French and three British companies have also left the contract. Shazand refinery with the final capacity of 270K bpd of crude is the first Petrorefinery of the country which has also to produce 7500 bPd propylene.
