Iranian director shooting anti-war movie in Germany

TEHRAN,April 10(MNA) -- Iranian filmmaker Ramtin Lavafipur is currently shooting an anti-war movie, part of which is being shot in Germany now.
Entitled “Berlin-7”, the movie narrates the life of an Iraqi family who has suffered in the aftermath of the 2003 invasion of Iraq by the U.S.-led forces.
Written by Mohammadreza Gohari, the film tells the story of Atef whose wife is killed during the war, his son Kazem who has witnessed his mother’s death and is suffering from a form of mental shock, and his daughter Najmeh who is arrested by Iraqi forces on suspicion of planning acts of sabotage.
The family immigrates to Germany seeking refuge from the war where they encounter some other problems.
Shooting began in early March in Berlin, and Iranian actors Masud Rayegan and Mostafa Zamani are acting in the movie.
Foreign actors Thom Bishops, Dalia Hibish, Heiner Lauterbach, Christian Viktor Keune, and actresses Karoline Eichhorn, Myriam Abbas are among the cast members.
The film’s language is English but it might be translated into Persian for Iran’s screening, the report said, adding that it might even go on screen with Persian subtitles.
