“Orange Dressed” director calls on people to keep environment clean

TEHRAN,April 11(MNA) -- The director of the Iranian film “The Orange Dressed” has asked the Iranian people to keep the environment clean. “Since the film is about cleanness, I hope the people are convinced to avoid producing garbage and to keep the environment clean,” Dariush Mehrjuii told on Tuesday. The film, which is about Hamed Aban, a photojournalist who switches to a sanitation worker as result of reading a book about the environment, is scheduled to premiere in Tehran theaters today. “In all places, the country enjoys a striking natural beauty, a large part of which has been polluted by garbage,” Mehrjuii lamented. “I also would like ‘The Orange Dressed’ to be a warning to the officials to keep the environment clean because it is being destroyed,” he added. He said that the film’s target is all people in the society. “Due to the subject of the film, it is useful to all. It is typically enlightening,” Mehrjuii stated. “The Orange Dressed” brought Mehrjuii the special jury award at the 30th Fajr International Film Festival in February in Tehran.
