Terrorists involved in assassination of Sunni cleric arrested

TEHRAN, April 12 (MNA) – The Iranian Intelligence Ministry, in a statement issued on Wednesday, announced that 15 terrorists involved in the assassination of Molavi Mostafa Jangi Zehi have been identified and arrested. Jangi Zehi, who was the Friday prayers leader of the town of Rask, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, was assassinated in the same province in January 2012. The Sunni cleric was a supporter of the Islamic Revolution and an advocate of unity between Shias and Sunnis. The statement also said that the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization and elements affiliated with Wahhabi groups had been involved in the assassination and that certain regional countries as well as the United States, Britain, and the Zionist regime had sponsored the terrorists.
