Supreme Leader highlights police’s responsibility to maintain security

TEHRAN, April 16 (MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the importance of the police’s responsibility to maintain security in order to prepare the ground for proper planning for the future progress of the country. The Leader made the remarks during a speech at a meeting with National Police Chief Esmaeil Ahmadi-Moqaddam and a number of police commanders and personnel in Tehran on Sunday. “If a society is not provided with security, (the success of) no organized work for the progress and advancement of that country could be guaranteed,” he stated. The Leader also underlined the need for planning based on collective wisdom and diligent and sincere efforts to facilitate the progress of the country and said that the proper implementation of the plans depends on the provision of security.
