Veteran artist designs poster of World Awakening Awards

TEHRAN,April 17(MNA) -- Veteran graphic designer Qobad Shiva has designed the poster for the World Awakening Awards. The poster will be released in the upcoming days, the general secretary of World Awakening Awards Amir Abdolhassani told . The jury member of the event is reviewing works submitted to the gala and will select some for exhibition. The selected works will go on display during a showcase at Tehran’s Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum from May 12 to June 11, he mentioned. The final artworks will be selected after receiving the input of foreign juries and guests, he added. The World Awakening Awards are held in the fields of cartoons, poster design and photography, and the top winner of each section will receive a grand prize, which includes a golden memento and 10,000-euros in cash. Bahram Azimi, Kambiz Derambakhsh and Masud Ziaei select cartoons for exhibition. Posters for showcase are selected by Mostafa Asadollahi, Ebrahim Haqiqi and Mostafa Gudarzi. Ebrahim Hatamikia, Farzad Hashemi, and Seyyed Abbas Mirhashemi are judging the submitted photos for the exhibition. The artworks must focus on one of the following subjects: “Capitalism, Wall Street”, “Uprising of World Nations”, “Islamic Awakening in the Contemporary World”, “Resistance against the Hegemonic System” and “Fighting against Despotism”.
