Majlis backs nuclear talks only based on NPT: Iranian speaker

TEHRAN, April 18 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that the parliament supports the nuclear talks with the West only if they are held within the framework of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and national interests. Speaking at an open session of the Majlis on Tuesday, Larijani also thanked the Iranian delegation who negotiated with the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, plus Germany) on Saturday in Istanbul.
