Iranian film “Mashti Esmaeil” wins award at Aljazeera filmfest
TEHRAN,April 24(MNA) -- The Iranian film “Mashti Esmaeil”, which is about the daily life of an Iranian farmer, won the best film award at the 8th Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival on Sunday.
Directed by Mehdi Zamanpur Kiasari, the film was screened in the medium film category of the event, which opened on April 19.
Zamanpur Kiasari could not attend the closing ceremony of the festival and Iranian filmmaker Nader Talebzadeh received the award from Chairman of Aljazeera Board Sheikh Bin Thamer Al-Thani.
“½ Revolution”, by Denmark-based Egyptian directors Omar Shergawi and Karim El Hakim, won the best film award in the long film category.
The film is about the Egyptian revolution broke out in January 2011.
