Bird flu outbreak feared in central Thai province

ANG THONG (THAILAND), April 27 (TNA) - An outbreak of avian flu is now feared in Thailand's central Ang Thong Province, where a number of storks have died mysteriously, prompting both local authorities and people to have been on high alert. A community head, Suebsak Waewkaew, told reporters on Friday that the birds were found dead in an open-ground behind a deserted factory near the Chamlong-Nong Jik Road in Sawangha District. The authorities concerned are looking into the cause of the mass deaths of the birds, with a final finding expected shortly. (TNA)
