Iran’s Shadi earns Olympic spot

TEHRAN,April 29(MNA)--Mohsen Shadi Naghadeh earned Iran an Olympic birth in the Men’s Heavyweight Single Sculls on Saturday. In the 2012 Asian Rowing Championships, which is underway in South Korea, the 24-year-old advanced to the final round and won a berth in the prestigious event as well. The 2010 Guangzhou gold medalist took part in the 2008 Olympic Games as the first ever Iranian and will also represent the country in the competitions.
