Iran achieves technology to redirect enemy missile: Iranian general

TEHRAN, May 1 (MNA) – Iran has finally developed the technological expertise to redirect enemy missiles, according to the commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbiya Air Base.
“Any missile, before doing any damage to the holy body of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is either destroyed or redirected and will hit a target which we determine,” Brigadier General Farzad Ismaili told .
He added, “This is the capability of electronic warfare in which it is we who program the enemy missile.”
Ismaili also said the anti-aircraft batteries of the Khatam-ol-Anbiya Air Base are “more efficient than hundreds of anti-missile shields.”
Colonel Moharram Gholizadeh announced in September 2011 that Iran was designing an anti-missile system that would be able to change the direction of an incoming enemy missile. Gholizadeh also said the system would be able to take control of the guidance system of the enemy missile and make it hit a different target.
