Iran`s Persepolis beaten by Al Hilal at Azadi

TEHRAN,May 2(MNA) – Iran’s Persepolis suffered a home game defeat against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Al Hilal beat Persepolis 1-0 thanks to Youssef Al-Arabi, who was on target in the 59th minute. Persepolis could have stayed at the top of the Group D with a draw but played a lackluster performance in front of more than 70,000 spectators at the Azadi Stadium. Persepolis fans criticized the players due to their poor performances. The visiting team could have scored more goals but Persepolis Bosnian keeper Asmir Avdukic did brilliantly. Persepolis had just two chances during whole of the match. The Iranian giant drew 1-1 with Al Hilal in its away game.
