Symposium on 90th jubilee of prominent historian commemorated in Baku

Baku, May 7 (AzerTAc). A symposium on “History and source study of the East of the Middle Ages” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani historian, academician Ziya Bunyadov today has been held at the Presidium of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), in Baku. The symposium has brought together scientists from Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other countries. President of the ANAS Mahmud Karimov, Director of the Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies Govhar Bakhshaliyeva made speeches at the event. The event also featured reports on life and scientific activity of Ziya Bunaydov.
