Pakistani People Back Iran’s Right To Peaceful N-technology: Religious Leader

Islamabad, May 9, IRNA – Chief of Shia Ulema Council on Tuesday said that people of Pakistan support Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology. Talking to IRNA, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi said that resumption of talks between Iran and 5+1 group is the success of Iran. Iran and the six powers resumed discussions in mid-April in Istanbul after a gap of more than a year. The major powers - the United States, France, Britain, China, Russia and Germany - and Iran are to meet again on May 23 in Baghdad. Chief of Tahreek Nizhat-e-Jaferia Pakistan expressing his views thanked Iranian government for adopting strong position against Western dominance. He said that Iran has become a role model for the Muslim Ummah. Religious leader expressing his views said that Istanbul talks were successful because Iran had adopted firm stance over its peaceful nuclear program. Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi noted that Iran has never accepted Western pressure over its nuclear program. “We are hopeful for the success of the next round of talks between Iran and 5+1 in Baghdad,” he said. The religious leader went on to say that Imperialist forces have used all options to pressurize Iran but failed to stop progress and development in the Islamic Republic. “Western propaganda against Iran has failed,” viewed the Chief of Shia Ulema Council. Replying to a question he said that the countries of the region must support Iran’s peaceful nuclear right despite western conspiracies to divide the countries of the region. To a question he said the French President Nicolas Sarkozy was defeated in the election because he was against Muslims. He said that next President of France must respect the rights of Muslims and learn from the mistakes of Sarkozy./end
