Iran’s Stand Forces West To Adopt Defensive Position: Pak.Religious Leader

Islamabad, May 15, IRNA – Chief of Pakistan’s major religious party on Monday said that Iran’s firm stance has forced the West to go back on defensive position.
Talking to IRNA Jamat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan advised Iran to remain vigilant against western conspiracies before entering into any dialogue.
Iran and the six powers resumed discussions in mid-April in Istanbul after a gap of more than a year. The major powers - the United States, France, Britain, China, Russia and Germany - and Iran are to meet again on May 23 in Baghdad.
Syed Munawar Hassan was of the view that all western countries are hand in glove against Muslims.
Expressing his opinion the JI leader said western states are following same policy against Muslim Ummah. “They are targeting Islam by aggressive approach,” he pointed out. The religious leader added that they (western countries) are providing training facilities for attack on the holy place of Muslims.
“They want to eliminate Muslims from the world,” he warned.
Syed Munawar Hassan expressing his opinion said the problem of West with Iran’s nuclear program is that it is a Muslim country and they cannot tolerate a Muslim nation achieving the status of nuclear power.
“They have no objection to the nuclear programs of Israel or some European countries, they are only worried about the nuclear program of Iran,” he added.
Jamat-e-Islami chief opined that US wants to impose its policies on Iran. He said that because of firm stance of Iran West has to start a dialogue with Iran.
He added that there is no other view to that the unity is the solution to all problems. “The unity among the Supreme Leader, the government and people of Iran has forced the West to take defensive position against Iran, unity is the success of Iran,” said the religious leader.
Syed Munawar Hassan stressed the need for unity among Muslim Ummah. “We have to shun our differences and unite against a common enemy,” he added. The JI leader said Iran is following a consistent stance over its peaceful nuclear program./end
