Thai Foreign Minister visits Laos
(KPL) On Friday, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sompong Amornwiwat arrived here on 10 October for short official working visit to Laos as a guest of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Thong loun Sisoulith.
Lao Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith talked with Thai Foreign Minister Sompong Amornwiwat at the Lao Plaza Hotel on the same day, confirming agreements in several fields.
At the meeting, the sides also reviewed their co-operation made in the past and discussed the future co-operation in the field of economic, trade, investment and tourism.
Mr. Sompong Amornwiwat’s visit is designed to expand bilateral relation and co-operation and to inform the Lao side about the foreign policy of the new government of Thailand. On this occasion, Thai delegation called on President Choummaly Sayasone, and Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh.
