ICB introduced in Vientiane

(KPL) The International Commercial Bank has opened its bran new branch in Vientiane to serve financial assistance, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Governor of the Bank of Laos Mr Phouphet Khamphouvong, Founder and Principal Shareholder of ICB Banking Group Tun Daim Zainuddin, Malaysian and Singaporean Ambassadors to Laos and relevant officials attended the opening ceremony last week.
ICB, an international banking group, was established in Hungary in 1994, and since then it has expanded to 14 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe.
CEO of ICB Banking Group Mr Harith Harun said: “We had carried out a comprehensives assessment of the market conditions in Laos, in particular the banking sectors, before deciding on opening our branch here.”
The ICB Banking Group plans to expand its branches to Savannakhet, Champassak and Luang Prabang.
After opening a branch in Laos, the group will be opening its 15th branch in Malawi, Africa, by this year’s end.
