Former central bank official arrested over $2.6b fraud case

TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) - A former official at the Central Bank of Iran has been arrested in connection with a $2.6 billion financial fraud case, Iranian Judiciary spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejeii told his regular press briefing on Monday. So far, 11 court sessions in the trial of the defendants accused of involvement in the fraud case have been held in Tehran.
