Nepal Welcomes Iran’s Invitation To Attend NAM Meeting

New Delhi, May 22, IRNA – Welcoming Iran’s invitation to attend NAM meeting, Nepal Prime Minister, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Monday assured Iran that senior staff will attend the 16th NAM meeting scheduled to held in Tehran in August. Iranian Foreign Ministry Director General for West Asia, Ahmad Shobhani, on behalf of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, extended the invitation to Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, today during a meeting in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal. During the meeting, Shobhani and Bhattarai reiterated that bilateral cooperation between Iran and Nepal would lead to considerable achievements for both nations. Bhattarai said the margins of this meeting can be a good opportunity to increase political and economic relations between the two countries. “That would lead to increase bilateral trade and economic cooperation, especially in the areas of energy, tourism, air transport,” he stressed.
