Iran will go to Olympics, Iran’s volleyball coach says

TEHRAN,May 22(MNA) - Iran’s volleyball coach Julio Velasco said that Iran will go to Tokyo to win the AVC Men’s Olympic Games Qualification Tournament. Iran will take part in the AVC Olympic Games Qualification Tournament which will be held in Tokyo, Japan from June 1 to June 10. “I’ve told my players they have to win the title and qualify for the Olympic Games. In the past two months, the players have changed their mentality and I think we are well-prepared to win the title in Japan. Iran has to play seven games in the competitions and we have to think separately to each game,” the 60-year-old said on Monday in Tehran. “In my opinion the qualifying games are harder than Asian championship games. I want to surprise the Iranian people by winning the title. Our players don’t have to panic otherwise they cannot advance to Olympics,” Vlasco added.
