Iran loses to Albania in a friendly

ISTANBUL,May 29(MNA) – Iran football team was defeated by Albania in a friendly match on Sunday. Both teams began slightly unorganized at the Inonu stadium in Istanbul, with sloppy passes and no clear tactic visible. Emiljano Vila shot the ball just outside the box on the hour mark which Iran keeper Alireza Haghighi failed to save that. Iran is scheduled to begin the second round of its World Cup Qualification against Uzbekistan on June 3rd in Tashkent. Carlos Queiroz’s team has been grouped with South Korea, Uzbekistan, Qatar and Lebanon in the final round of Asian World Cup qualifying and need to finish at least in second place to directly qualify for Brazil 2014.
