Algerian Envoy: Iran-Algeria Ties Progressing

Tehran, May 30, IRNA -- Algerian Ambassador to Tehran Soufiane Mimouni said on Tuesday that Iran and Algeria relations are progressing in an atmosphere of full confidence and on mutual respect and interests. Describing the level of relations as excellent, he told IRNA, Iran and Algeria are firmly decisive to expand ties and domain of convergence and commonalities. "Accordingly the two countries Presidents decided to seize all opportunities to reinforce mutual ties and cooperation in all fields of interests such as political, economic, trade, scientific and cultural areas," Mimouni said. Pointing to the diplomatic contacts and consultations, he said the two countries have always been sharing views and experiences in different mutual, regional and international issues. The Algerian Ambassador said that level of trade is unsatisfactory in comparison with the excellent political relations and said boosting the trade ties is a must based on the existing potentialities./end
