Iran keen to cement ties with Cuba: VP

TEHRAN, May 30(MNA) – The Islamic Republic is keen to consolidate relations with Cuba in all spheres, Ali Saeedlou, President Ahmadinejad’s deputy for international affairs, told Cuban First Vice President José Ramón Machado Ventura during a meeting in Havana on Tuesday. During his trip to Cuba, Saeedlou was tasked with delivering President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s letter to Cuban President Raúl Castro, who has been invited to participate in the upcoming Non-Aligned Movement summit, which will be held in Tehran in late August.
