Iran ready to invest in Georgia’s economic sector

TEHRAN,May 30 - Iranian private companies are prepared to invest in Georgia’s different economic industries, such as transportation, food, agriculture, banking and insurance, said the chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines. Mohammad Nahavandian made the remarks in a meeting with his counterpart Kakha Baindurashvili in Georgian capital city of Tbilisi on Monday. The meeting was also attended by over 130 businessmen and traders of the two sides. The Georgian official expressed the hope that Iranian companies would expand technical and engineering services to Georgia. Nahavandian, for his part, said that canceling visa requirements and streamlining bilateral trade and investment will be among the fruits of holding such meetings.
