TEHRAN,May 30(MNA) -- Iranian director Asghar Hashemi plans to make a TV series on the life of Mahmud Farshchian, the 82-year-old master of Persian painting. Sima Films, a film production studio affiliated with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, will finance the project entitled “The Secret of Eternity”. The screenplay of TV series will be written in 13 episodes by Mohammadreza Gohari. Art expert Asghar Fahimifar has been commissioned to collect the necessary information for the serial. He has conducted several interviews and done field research for the project, producer Seyyed Mohsen Tabatabaiipur said in a press release on Tuesday. Farshchian’s autobiography is one of the main sources for writing the script, but memories told by Farshchian’s relatives will also be earmarked to improve the screenplay, he added. “We plan to invite one the renowned actors to play the role of Farshchiain but it is unclear yet who will be tapped for the role,” he added. Farshchian was born in Isfahan, a city renowned for its art and skilled artists, and studied painting under the supervision of Haj Mirza Aqa Emami and Isa Bahadori. He later traveled to Europe where he studied painting and conducted research in museums for several years. Farshchian’s masterpieces have been hosted by numerous museums and exhibitions worldwide. He is recognized as the most important modernizing influence in the field of miniatures.
