PM meets Thai Foreign Minister
(KPL) Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh received last Friday at his office in Vientiane a courtesy visit of Thai Foreign Minister Sompong Amornwiwat who arrived here on the same day for a short working visit as a guest of Lao Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.
At the talks, PM Bouasone Bouphavanh praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of the Thai delegation as a contribution to strengthening the traditional friendly relation and co-operation between Laos and Thailand.
On this occasion, the Thai Foreign Minister expressed thanks to PM Bouasone for his warm welcome and briefed him of the results of the working session between his delegation and the Lao counterpart.
During the visit, Thailand granted 2 million bath (Thai currency) to Laos for school construction. This was the first overseas visit by Mr. Sompong since he has assumed the post.
