Isfahan Cultural Festival underway in Dublin

TEHRAN,June 7(MNA) -- The Isfahan Cultural Festival is currently underway in Dublin, Ireland representing the potentials and tourist attractions of the historical city of Isfahan. Organized by the Isfahan Municipality, the festival opened on June 5. Several exhibitions of photos, visual arts, and handicrafts have been arranged for the event, which runs until Friday, the Isfahan Municipality announced in a press release on Wednesday. Isfahan is a historical city which has played a major role in the promotion of Islamic culture and civilization in the world, and it is the duty of the Isfahan Municipality to strengthen the role of the city in the world, the report added. Live music and Zurkhaneh sport performances are also among the programs. Zurkhaneh is an Iranian martial art that combines elements of Islam, Gnosticism and ancient Persian beliefs. Introducing the sister cities of Isfahan has also been included in the program.
