Iran To Establish Cultural Center In Beijing

Beijing, June 10, IRNA - Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini on Saturday underlined the need for establishment of an Iranian cultural center in Beijing. He hold IRNA that an agreement in principle has already been reached in this regard and Iran is waiting to sign an agreement with China. Hosseini, who is in China to take part in the 9th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Cultural Ministers meeting, said Iran wants to promote the cultural activities of its embassy in Beijing by establishing an independent cultural center in the Chinese capital. He expressed hope the agreement would pave the way for the establishment of the center and expressed Iran's readiness to expand ties with China in all artistic and cultural fields./end
