Russian readers enjoying Iranian bestseller
TEHRAN,June 11(MNA) -- The Russian version of the bestselling Iranian novel “Kiss the Lovely Face of God” by Mostafa Mastur has recently been published in Moscow.
Translated into Russian by Asiya Isabaeva, the book is released by Iran’s Al-Hoda International Publication in Moscow.
The Russian translation of the book was unveiled during a ceremony at Iran’s cultural attaché office in Moscow on Friday.
Mastur, Iranian scholars Ali-Asghar Mohammadkhani, Zia Movahhed and a number Russian officials and literati attended the event.
At the ceremony, Iran’s cultural attaché in Moscow Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman pointed to the importance of translation of Persian contemporary literary works into Russian.
Afterward, Mastur made a speech about his book, saying that his epistemological and philosophical concerns led him to write the book.
“Kiss the Lovely Face of God”, which poses question about man and his faith in God, has been translated into Italian, Arabic, Indonesian and several other languages.
