Tehran’s Saba producing animations of Marzban-nama stories

TEHRAN,June 12(MNA) -- Tehran’s Saba Art and Cultural Institute is producing animated adaptations of the Marzban-nama, a collection of Persian classic stories. Entitled “Marzban-nama”, the 26-animation series is being directed by Behruz Soltanifar. The collection contains many stories narrated by animals, Soltanifar told the Mehr News Agency on Monday. The stories have been converted into a language comprehensible to children, he added. The Marzban-nama was written by Espahbod Marzban in the Hyrcanian language in the late 10th century. It was later translated into Persian by Sa’deddin Varavini in the 13th century. Soltanifar said that the first episode lasting 15 minutes has been completed, and the team is working on the second episode. Mehdi Matinzadeh, Mona Soltanifar, and Sanaz Arabi are other animators collaborating in this project.
