Iran held at Azadi in WCup qualifier

TEHRAN,June 13(MNA) - Iran football team was held to a goalless draw by Qatar in the 2014 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday. The Iranian team, which defeated Uzbekistan thanks to a late goal from Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari in Tashkent, failed to beat Qatar in front of 90,000 spectators in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium. Carlos Queiroz’s men dominated the match but the strikers didn’t take advantage of their chances. South Korea stayed at the top of the Group A after beating Lebanon 3-0 in its home game in Goyang. The Koreans had defeated Qatar 4-1 in its opening match.
