US Incurred Heavy Defeat In Syria Despite Huge Spending

Tehran, June 14, IRNA - Vice chairman of Chiefs of Staff of the armed forces Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri said on Wednesday that the US along with its puppet regimes in the region and certain European states have incrred another heavy setback depite spending huge sum to oust the Syrian government. The Syrian government and its nation once again successfully overcame a crisis and imposed another defeat on the global arrogance, he said. The fact is that the time is now in favor of resistance in the region, he said adding that the US and Europe are now going through various crises and are unable to materialize their sinister plots against other countries. He said Iran never remains indifferent to the resistance movement in the region and anyone willing to violate the red lines of the Islamic Republic will be dealt with severely. The Americans through media hype try to indicate that they are now controlling Syria but to no avail, he said. World public opinion as well as decision makers should beware not to be deceived by the US, he underlined. Those who are against resistance will be punished in due time, he said. There is no doubt that the Syrian government and its people are able to resist bullying powers, he said. Other countries which are involved in Syrian developments should keep in minds that the Syrian people would have the final say on their fate and no one is authorized to meddle in their affairs, Jazeyeri said./end
