Tehran gallery to host “100 Works, 100 Artists” next week

TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Golestan Gallery will put an impressive range of paintings, sculptures and calligraphy on display during its 21st exhibition of “100 Works, 100 Artists” next week. The expo, which is scheduled to open on June 29, gallery director Leili Golestan told on Tuesday. Works by little-known artists will go on the show beside works by veterans, giving visitors a chance to purchase high quality works at bargain prices, she added. Once again led by Sohrab Sepehri’s artwork, the prices of the artworks have always been reasonable in the expo, which is the reason behind its great success so far, she said. “We have also asked famous veteran artists to put their works on sale at lower prices compared to what they charge at their solo exhibits,” she stated. She said that the gallery also provides good facilities for the consumers, offering wide choices for both ordinary consumers and private collectors. The gallery is located at 42 Kamasaii St. in the Darus neighborhood.
