Bismillah Festival to publish top artworks in three books

TEHRAN,June 23(MNA) – Organizers of the 9th Bismillah Festival will introduce three books containing the best of previous editions of the art festival in Tehran in July. The books will be unveiled during the opening ceremony of the festival on July 21. Entitled “Bismillah”, the three books cover top works of calligraphy, drawing, graphic design, painting and photo, director of the festival Mohammadreza Kamarei told on Friday. The best works of calligraphy, drawings and graphic designs on Bismillah are gathered in one book, Kamarei said. The second book reviewing different styles of architecture since the 11th century until the contemporary era is comprised of the best photos of Islamic monuments, he added. Beautiful photos of mosques, minarets and Islamic monuments, as well as descriptions by Iranian masters of architecture are collected in the second book, he said. Kamarei also added that the third book contains paintings with the central theme of creation. Published by Mashq-e Honar Publications, the books will be available in bookstores and various art and cultural centers concurrent with the opening of the festival in Ramadan. The ninth edition of the festival will concurrently open in Tehran, the Persian Gulf island of Abu Musa and the countries of Malaysia, Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
