Iran's Culture Min. To Visit Turkey

Ankara, June 27, IRNA – Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Mohammad Hosseini will pay a 3-day official visit to Turkey upon an invitation extended by Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay. In his trip which begins on Wednesday, Hosseini is scheduled to discuss issues of mutual interest with Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag during his stay. He is to discuss expansion of cultural relations between Iran and Turkey with his Turkish counterpart and exchange views with him on the second cultural relations commission. In the first meeting of cultural relations commission, it was decided that 2013 to be called Iran year in Turkey and 2014 Turkey year in Iran. Hosseini, in his meeting with Bekir Bozdag, will discuss issues of Hajj and Endowment and cooperation between the two countries in religious affairs. He is also to meet with Iranian residents in Ankara on Friday. Hosseini will visit the Turkish Broadcasting Organization and discuss expansion of media relations with related officials there. Hosseini will travel to city of Konia on Friday and will address a meeting of Turkish scholars as well as visiting mausoleum of Rumi and its library./end
