Aref may be reformists’ candidate in presidential election: politico

TEHRAN,June 27(MNA) –A prominent principlist politician said that it is more than likely that Mohammad Reza Aref will be selected as the reformists’ candidate for the 2013 presidential election. Hassan Ghafourifard also said that he believes that former president Mohammad Khatami will not run in the election. Aref served as vice president under president Khatami. He is now a member of the Expediency Council.
