Two Iranian animations to be screened at Italian festival
TEHRAN,July 2(MNA) – Two animations produced by Iran’s Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) have found ways into Lenola Film Festival 2012, an Italian festival running from July 26 to 29.
“The Life Story of Red Pencil” by Alireza Chitaii and “Zero” by Nazanin Sobhani Darbandi are the two short animations to compete at the 15th edition of the festival, IIDCYA Public Relations Office reported on Sunday.
The two Iranian films will be competing with 16 more animations from different countries of France, Croatia, Belgium, Spain, Mexico and Germany, the report added.
“The Life Story of Red Pencil”, which is experiencing its first international participation, tells the story of a red pencil when it was a tall pencil till it grows shorter and shorter while creating the images it has liked the most.
The theme of this edition is “To Choose.”
