Iraq has not met commitments to tackle issue of dust storms: Iranian official

TEHRAN,July 3(MNA) – An official at Iran’s Environmental Protection Organization said on Monday that the Iraqi government has not adequately fulfilled its commitments to deal with the issue of dust storms. Iraq has not kept to its agreement with Iran which obligates the country to pour oil derivative mulch on its deserts, Masoud Zandi said. The dust storms affecting Iranian cities mostly originate from dried-up ponds in Iraq.
